They were young, loveable too Some straight, some twisted Some crisply cursive Shining chalk white On my innocence’s slate Till the day, they found their way Till the day, they flew away Out of my bedtime fairy tales To the yellow posters of highway protests Out of my mother’s sacred scriptures To the pink gloss at footpath stalls Out of my father’s one-act plays To the expired ration cards! Now, they are old, ugly too Some straight, some twisted Some brightly painted Overnight they run around On the cogs of printing wheels To scare me the next morning To laugh at my frailty… As i read out the headline Of the front page bleeding over my tea!

He carried a spear in his hand To protect his father’s fabled land For father had taught him never to fear And to worship his land and his spear So…he waited from dusk to dawn Fervently glaring the remote horizon One morn…they came on thousand horses And valiantly he stood against the forces But…to his awe they offered him wine And four full grown turkeys to dine He threw his treasured spear…bowed down And conceded his fatherland to the crown The crown greeted him with a grin And used his spear to circumcise his skin!

The red marks turned into black and then vanished, But I did n0t understand the bitter part of it. When you realize what the time taught you Just like childhood, t’was already all lost. Once I lost a gift and I replaced that with a kind. But the inside rumbles and the face faked. Now tell me, why there is a value to all that wraps, rather than the one that is wrapped. Never again it says, that you are driving an engine without back gear.

To the farthest lady there,  I might see.   You be ok, O! West wind lady! There, might be at times, you r down… Begot your faith back to you It will help you if the wind is gone away, until u believe, you r the west wind yourself You be ok, west wind lady…   You stand pole apart to everyone I know, have you ever seen rain being compared with snow. You will never know what it takes to be so, that you Read more

As the moon reigns in the heavens tonight it’s shining on your bed in a flood of light Shines the king of the sky with a halo of stars. as the sound of silence is heard afar. The birds dont sing they are in their nests Every man and beast now lays down to rest. and then you hear the whispering breeze as it rustles against the leaves in the trees. Every revelation is a mystery the night beholds And i’m filled with the song of the lost souls It’s a song sung of darkness and light in my heart and in the beautiful night.
