It was the worst flooding condition ever in Kerala affecting thousands of lives, houses, and animals. All 14 districts of the state were placed on high alert by the Meteorological Department of India after initial rainfall in the month of early July. As reported in National Dailies, according to the Kerala government, one-sixth of the total population of Kerala had been directly affected by the floods and related incidents. The Union government had declared it a Level 3 Calamity or ‘Calamity of a severe nature. We can help and support the cause by donating to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. His way of leading the nation, answering the opposition, hitting the nation’s enemy and strengthening Indian Economy and Indian Army would be always remembered. The poetic verses that he wrote in the following years will always be evergreen in our mind and would inspire us for the tough days ahead.
