Most importantly your feedbacks matter. Please keep those coming.
Statue of Unity
The world’s tallest Colossal Statue of India’s Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is located in the state of Gujarat facing the Sardar Sarovar Dam. The statue is 182 meters tall constructed 100 km to the southeast of Vadodara near the river Narmada. Sardar Ji’s dhoti-clad legs and the use of sandals for footwear can be seen while looking at this marvelous statue. We would like to express our gratitude and respect for amalgamating all those princely states in India saying: “Sardar Ji Apko, Sath Sath Naman”. This statue will continue depicting his concept of ‘Akhand Bharat’ for the years to come and the new generations to follow and know about his sacrifices and brilliant doings.
The launch of GSAT 29
Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has successfully launched GSAT 29 from Sriharikota. The satellite which has been established at Geosynchronous Orbit has been aimed at providing high-speed bandwidth to Village Resource Centres (VRC) in rural areas. The GSAT-29 is the heaviest satellite till date from ISRO, weighing 3,423 kg. We congratulate ISRO on achieving yet another milestone.
India Tour Of Australia (Cricket)
Indian Cricket Team tours Australia this November. While it was a stalemate in the T20I series as the matches were affected by intermittent rains, India Team aspect to change the legend of not winning Test Series in Australia. The Test team looks balanced and there is a slight worry for the position of the 6th batsman in the side; as to whom it belongs. It will be either Rohit Sharma or Hanuma Vihari. Only the time will tell us. Virat Kohli will again look to dominate the Australian pitches as he did back in 2014. The recent news of ankle injury of Prithvi Shaw is a matter of worry, though he is expected to get well soon. We hope India will make a history this time by winning the Test Series.
Sixth Title To Mary Kom
In the recent World Boxing Championship, Mary Kom completed her Sixth Title. Mary Kom came up victorious against Hanna Okhota as she made 5-0 in the 48-Kg category. The Honourable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi has also congratulated her on Twitter. This is her second stellar performance infront of the Delhi crowd. She has been looking for performing well in Tokyo Olympics 2020 though there would be no 48-Kg category. India has concluded the championships with 1 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze including Lovlina Borgohain (69 kg) and Simranjit Kaur (64 kg). We, at Thousand Miles feel very proud of her achievement and would like to see her continue the winning streak in the upcoming Olympics 2020 at Tokyo.
Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha
The impact of Bahujan Samajwadi Party in the Legislative Assembly Election in Madhya Pradesh has been the hot topic. The Election held on 28th November in the 230 constituencies of Madhya Pradesh. Shivraj Singh Chauhan government will try to win for a consecutive 4th term as the Congress Party will fight for winning the state against BJP. Only time will tell what would be the final result. It may be a Mahagathbandhan between BSP and BJP to change the colour of the state from the current BJP’s saffron all over the state.
