Flour/maida-2 cups

Kalonji/nigella-1 tsp

Ajwain/carom seeds-2tsp

Salt-1 tsp

Oil for frying



1)In a bowl mix together- flour,salt, nigella and carom seeds.

2) Add about 6-7 tsp of refined oil and mix with the above.

3)Now slowly mix water and knead.

*Add water in tablespoons, not much at a time.

4) Knead until the dough is soft.

5) Make small portions of the dough and with the help of rolling pin make them flat like chapatti.

Note: * Don’t make it too flat

6) Now cut them into crisis-cross lines with a knife and deep fry in oil.Serve with tea or coffee as snacks.
