Thousand Miles Review:
The Family Man produced under the banner of Amazon Prime Video, is an catchy action-filled Hindi drama series. The series narrates the story of a simple middle-class Indian man who works for a specialized cell of the National Investigation Agency. As he tries to decode any high profile terrorism activity to protect the nation from planned attacks, he also has to protect his small nuclear family without revealing his secretive, high-pressure, and low paying job.
The Stree Movie directors Raj and DK came up with their newly directed Amazon Prime series The Family Man. It displayed their sheer multifaceted directional talent and filmmaking experience. This series has narrated with reasoning using an engaging story-plot and, at the same time, delivers social messages at times. All episodes had been crafted so beautifully that the audience has already started waiting for the second season. The series buzz is getting higher since its release.
The characterisation of the terrorists could have been better as the Bajpayee’s character has almost overshadowed the complete season. Bajpayee’s Srikant is not the usual spy agent protagonist and his family life will make you feel as if you could also go to this kind of job as depicted in the story. Priyamani who played the character of Bajpayee’s wife displayed her natural acting skills like she always used to. The story shows her as a neglected wife who quietly takes good care of her family, being totally unaware of her husband’s job nature. Sharib Hashmi and Sharad Kelkar does well in the supporting cast.
For me, the series is a must-watch. It will glue you to your couch until it finishes till the last scene of the 10th, the last episode of season 1. The Family Man presents you with plenty of thrills, shockers, and twists-turns to make you wait for the second season. You will binge-watch this for sure if you are really into this type of genre and are a fan of Manoj Bajpayee.
