Axl Hazarika Rainbow Trip (electronica/folk) EDM band performing Goru Bihu Song (electronic dance music). This Assamese EDM song is based on the theme of ‘Goru Bihu’.

Bihu is the major cultural festival of Assam, India. This is central northeastern state of India where traditional folk music and dance music are flamboyant stuff to experience. There are three kinds of Bihu celebrated in a year – Bhogali Bihu or Magh Bihu in January, Rongali Bihu or Bohag Bihu in April, and Kongali Bihu or Kati Bihu in October. Rongali Bihu which highlights the ongoing Spring season observed at Assamese new year (April 14th of every year). Goru Bihu is one of those sacred Rongali Bihu days where the Assamese people have traditional customs with their cattle; caring them, taking them for bath, worshipping them and many more. As Bihu entwines tender love, new Spring, and agriculture altogether, Goru(cow) plays an important role in the socio-economic part of Assam.

As per Axl Hazarika Rainbow Trip’s, it is the new EDM song of first of its kind in Assamese music. Goru Bihu Song is the first electronic and electro music to be released in Assam.
