The need for Women Empowerment in India finds its significance because of gender discrimination at various levels of society in predominant male society since old age. Women are being suppressed by their family members; mainly seen in post-marital situations. They have been targeted with various violences related to dowry along with discriminatory practices by the male counterparts in a family.
